It was a case of singing loud and proud for the CBS Primary singing group in Mitchelstown, as they raised their voices and cash to present a cheque for €783 to the Mitchelstown branch of St Vincent de Paul.

The money was raised through their festive carol singing and it was an amazing amount of money to raise in such a short timeframe in the town centre.

The generosity of local people and businesses was greatly appreciated by the school and St Vincent de Paul and the money raised will have ensured that many people had a happier Christmas locally.

The school and Principal Mary O'Callaghan thanked the singers, the singing group organisers, and those who collected money, for all they did to help in the fundraising efforts.
