Fundraising is underway for a flagship project regarding the rejuvenation of the West Waterford village of Ballyduff Upper.
The project involves transforming a prominent building in the heart of the village, the old grain store, in order to provide facilities for the entire community.
“It’s very exciting. It will be a central hub in the heart of the village which will have something for all ages,” said Eimear Byrne, chairperson of the Raise the Roof Committee. “For a place of the size of Ballyduff Upper, it’s major. We’ve never had anything like this before.”
