With summer in our midst, the weather getting brighter and people wanting to stay fit and active, Scoil Pol in Kilfinane are inviting individuals, cycling enthusiasts and families to come along to their cycle and fun day on Saturday, May 17.
There are two cycle options with support teams for both, so whether you're a seasoned pro or someone who has to dust off the helmet, there will be something to suit you.
Each cycle will take in the breathtaking scenery of the Ballyhoura mountains and there will be lots of fun and games in the school afterwards as a reward for those who have done the cycle, while people from the community who don't want to do the cycle are also welcome to enjoy the fun day, walk around the school and get a sense for the facilities there.
Helmets must be worn by all riders and each participant will get a free t-shirt and to quench their thirst after the hard work of the cycle, there will be refreshments and a barbecue in the school afterwards.
For those who feel up for the challenge, there is a 60km cycle at 10.30am with registration from 10am and there will also be a 15km family cycle at 12noon with registration from 11.30am and face painting and family fun between 1pm and 3.30pm.
Registration for adults is €15, for students it is €10 and there is a discounted rate of €30 for families.
Everyone is welcome to come along on the day for what promises to be a fun and exciting day of cycling, family fun and entertainment.
