Members of the O'Farrell family gathered recently at Ballygiblin School to unveil a seat dedicated to the memory of their brother - Rodger O'Farrell, RIP (1950-2010).

Rodger was a keen historian, photographer, artist and musician and a regular visitor to the school as well as of course, having been a past pupil of the old school.

The theme of the seats is 'Circle of Friends' with 'Níl neart ná chur le chéile' as the inscribed motto.

The beautiful seats were made by local craftsman Tom O'Mahoney, Kilbehenny with artistic fairy doors carved by Michael Sheehan, Mitchelstown. They provide a lovely meeting point for both children and adults.
