There may not be any Indiependence music festival this weekend, but on Friday one of the country’s biggest rock bands will undertake a unique visit to Mitchelstown.
The Coronas, the musicians, will be in town on a nationwide tour in a Super Sprinkles ice-cream van.
The band plan to be in New Square on Friday at 10am, before heading onwards for Limerick and Galway.
They launch their tour on Thursday at Golden Discs on Patrick Street, Cork and will be doing a special event at 4pm.
On their visit to Mitchelstown, they will be signing copies of their album and giving free pots of Murphy’s ice cream to their fans.
