Mitchelstown boxer Vladimir Belujsky, is set to challenge for the WBO Super Middleweight Youth Title this year after a resounding victory in Mexico recently.
Vladimir was fighting in Poland on Saturday last and secured a first round knockout against Ukrainian fighter, Vladislav Bilous.
“First round knockout victory for me here in Poland against an undefeated prospect. I would like to thank every single person out there supporting me. I appreciate you so much.”
Vladimir, originally from Slovakia, has a strong fight history with six victories and has been looking to get on the card with more high profile opponents.
That wish now looks set to be realised as the 23-year-old blitzed Bilous in just a round and sees him pick up a high profile bout.
“I was meant to fight in New York after my last fight but it was difficult to get an opponent for me there for March,” he said, adding: “I will fight in New York next on the 8th of May now.”
