Kindness is nothing new to the students of St Michael’s National School in Ballyduff Upper who organise various activities throughout the year for good causes.
Most recently, the school students amassed a total of 75 boxes brimming with items for boys and girls in Eastern Europe who live in poverty.
The Christmas shoebox appeal was co-ordinated in the school by Ms Louise Daly.
“I was overwhelmed by the school’s response to the shoebox appeal. Such a simple gesture really makes a huge difference to those less fortunate. Well done children!”, Ms Daly said.
