The Cork Autism Network will be holding their Christmas coffee morning in the Ozanam Centre in Mallow on Tuesday next, December 9 and all are welcome. Between 11am and 1pm, there will be Christmas nibbles and festive punch and there will also be a Christmas raffle, with some great prizes up for grabs.

The Cork Autism Network support group meet regularly in the Ozanam Centre in Mallow, where supportive relationships are formed and common challenges are shared.

The committee wish to thank everyone who has attended their events during the year and anyone who has helped them in any way.

For the coming year, in order to help parents to learn from, empower and assist each other, they have organised parent information sessions with guest speakers.

HELPLINE

Membership of the group is free and everyone is welcome. The volunteer helpline is also operational from Monday to Wednesday from 7pm - 9pm and if anyone has a problem they want to talk about or just need a friendly listening ear, they can call 086 4096500 during those times.

The volunteers manning the helpline have been professionally trained and the initiative was funded by Avondhu Blackwater Partnership and the Education Training Board.

The committee hope that people will join them on Tuesday morning for their Christmas coffee morning and they wish all of their members a very happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
