800 ESB customers in the Castlelyons, Bridesbridge and Aghern areas were left without power unexpectedly last Wednesday night, January 31 when a fault occured which caused the outage which occured at approximately 7.45pm.
According to a representative of ESB Networks, power was returned to all soon after 9pm.
When contacted about the power cut, the ESB gave the following statement: "Crews were immediately mobilised and worked to restore supply to all customers within 2 hours.
"ESB Networks apologises to customers impacted by the loss of electricity supply and assures them that crews worked as quickly and safely as possible to restore supply."
