Deirdre O’Brien to contest Fianna Fail seat

Deirdre O’Brien confirmed to The Avondhu this week that she will be putting her name forward to fill the seat in Cork County Council arising from the recent election of her brother, Kevin O’Keeffe, to Dail Eireann.

Throughout her life Deirdre has had first-hand experience of political life and attended many constituency clinics for and on behalf of her father Ned O’Keeffe and her brother Kevin.

From the experiences she has gained an insight into the local issues that arise such as housing, roads, council services and at the ongoing requirements of constituents in dealing with local authorities.
