Exacting standards and the pursuit of excellence when it comes to breeding has made Pat Flynn’s farm a national leader in the production of pure Friesians.
Pat and his wife Nora own and manage a dairy farm on the Araglin/Kilworth border in the townland of Coolmohan.
This is the chosen setting for an Irish Pure Friesian Open Day that takes place on Wednesday, June 22.
Speaking at last week’s press launch, CEO of the Irish Holstein Friesian Association Charlie Gallagher, said his organisation were delighted to be associated with Pat and Nora’s award winning Coolmohan herd.
The launch was attended by a large group of sponsors and special guests. The open day is generating considerable attention nationwide and a large crowd is expected.
The event is being co-ordinated by the Irish Holstein Friesian Association and further information can be had by contacting 023-8833443.
Coolmohan farm is accessed by following the Ballyduff/Lismore Road through Kilworth village. The event will be extensively signposted and everyone with an interest in the breed is welcome to attend.
