5 years on – Investigation ongoing into Tina Satchwell’s disappearance

Sunday, March 20, marked five years since the sudden and unexplained disappearance of Fermoy native, Tina Satchwell, from her home on Grattan Street in Youghal.

Gardaí have issued a statement to The Avondhu confirming that the investigation into Ms Satchwell’s disappearance continues, stating: “Gardaí continue to investigate and appeal for information on tracing the whereabouts of missing person Tina Satchwell”.

In the weeks and months immediately following the disappearance in March 2017, major land and sea searches were carried out by Gardaí for Ms Satchwell, aged 47 at the time, however, they concluded without any trace of the Fermoy woman.

Similarly in March 2018, search operations focused on a section of woodland, roughly 40 acres in size, in Castlemartyr in East Cork, but to no avail.

Tina is described as 5’ 7’’, of medium build with blonde shoulder-length hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who has any information on her disappearance or whereabouts, no matter how insignificant they think it may be, should contact Midleton Garda Station on 021-4621550, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
