Galbally gets green with NS green flag
Last Wednesday, June 18th was a very happy special day for Ballylanders NS when it was awarded its 4th green flag.
The school community has been working on the various green flag awards over the past 8 years. The flag awarded on Wednesday was based on the theme of travel. Now parents and pupils are using various modes of transport to and from school, walking, cycling and car pooling.
It was a very proud moment for the Green School Committee, pupils, parents and staff when Angela Wall of An Taisce raised the prestigious green flag. In attendance were parents, members of the Board of Management and school community.
