Ballyduff’s Dave Casey claimed second place in the National Hot Rod World Championship in Ipswich recently, the elite class in Short Oval Racing.
The World Championship final took place over two days at the Foxgall Heath Stadium.
Three southern Irish drivers qualified for the World Championship from 12 qualifying rounds throughout the season.
In all, 35 cars qualified for the final, with drivers from Ireland, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Germany and the Netherlands.
Drivers took part in qualifying lap times on the Saturday, each driver completed three laps with their fastest lap determining where they started on the grid for the final on Sunday.
