2025 is set to continue apace at Motor Distributors Limited (MDL) with no fewer than 12 new passenger car model introductions currently scheduled for next year.
First to arrive, in January, will be the XPENG G6 – an all-electric mid-sized SUV and first model to launch on the Irish market from the XPENG range.
Also expected in the first quarter is the BYD SEALION 7 high-performance, all-electric, mid-size SUV.
Other Q1 arrivals will be an all-new version of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class and, for the first time, an all-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Earmarked for Q2 is the new Mercedes-Maybach SL 680, a sporty two-seater cabriolet, and a car said by its manufacturer to ‘redefine the open-air experience through exceptional luxury’.
Due in the third quarter are two all-electric models from BYD’s sub-compact product range – the five-door hatchback BYD Dolphin Mini and crossover SUV BYD Atto 2.
From Mercedes-Benz, Q3 is set to see the arrival of the first battery-electric version of its popular four-door CLA Coupé. Built on the newly developed Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, it will be followed, in Q4, with the arrival of petrol-hybrid versions of the CLA Coupé.
Other models scheduled for later in the year will be the mid-sized plug-in hybrid BYD Seal 06 DM-i – arriving here in both saloon and estate versions.
Completing the lineup, and due here before the end of next year will be the third arrival from the all-electric product range from smart – the smart #5 – a spacious and versatile premium mid-size SUV .
