Four young men from Kildorrery and Glenahulla have been congratulated this week, after their quick thinking led to the rescue of a concussed cyclist on the Ballyhoura Mountain Trails.

Bobby and Luke Walsh, aged 10 and 12 respectively and from Glenahulla, were enjoying the trails with their friends Ciarán (11) and Joe (12) Gallagher last weekend.

They were standing on the ‘Skyline’ trail when the cyclist went by them; they witnessed him go over a ramp, and then unfortunatley go over the handlebars.

Speaking with The Avondhu from Glenahulla National School, Bobby and Luke told how they went to check on the man who appeared concussed, sprinkled water on his face and called 112.
