Young Fermoy family have ‘no place to go’

The McDonagh family who are living in a mobile home in a picnic area on Cork Road, Fermoy, have been given 7 days to leave the site by An Garda Siochána, as of Tuesday morning last, May 21. 

John McDonagh and his partner Natasha have been living in the cramped mobile home on Cork Road with their four children for almost two years while waiting to be offered a house by Cork County Council. 

Having been on the social housing list for the past 7 years and having nearly lost their lives earlier this year when their mobile home went on fire, the family are now living in dread of what will happen to them next week when they are required to leave the site.
