The Nano Nagle Centre is hosting a series of retreats over the spring and summer months with some very high profile retreat facilitators. The centre is located on the Fermoy/Mallow road near Killavullen in the breath taking scenery of the Blackwater Valley. Its base is a 32 acre organic farm that provides a stunning backdrop for anyone looking for some time out and peace at one with nature.

The world renowned Fr Daniel O’Leary will be hosting an Easter themed retreat weekend entitled ‘Easter is in my heart’ - living the abundant life of grace everyday. In May there is a mindfulness retreat weekend led by Timothy Sweeney. The vision of MBSR Heart of Mindfulness Training is to help humanity’s heart to awaken to deeper levels of insight, compassion and healing through the practice of mindfulness.

Also in May is a week long retreat with Fr Louis Hughes, entitled ‘The Breath of Meditation in Life’. This retreat  seeks to promote relaxation of breath and spiritual trust. Participants are helped to become more deeply aware of the ways in which the breath moves within them and to recognise and respond to the particular difficulties they may encounter in breathing – and to experience where all of this leads us spiritually.

In June, Angela Campion will be hosting a ‘Prayer and the Universe’ themed weekend retreat. This is followed by a 5 day retreat with Br Denis Glesson who does the AA Spirituality Retreat. This retreat is based upon the proven twelve step spirituality of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is suitable for anyone interested in the twelve steps and who wishes to continue, or to embark upon, a twelve step spiritual journey. The retreat is not meant as a first introduction to the twelve steps for someone struggling with addiction but is suitable for anyone who simply wants to explore a spirituality that is a tried and tested model spirituality. The retreat will include an element of silence and an introduction to Centering Prayer.

In July, the world renowed Jan Novotka will be hosting a week long retreat entitled ‘Awakening into the great Communion: Living from the Depths'. This is followed by another weeklong retreat with Micheal Rodgers entitled  ‘Celtic Spirituality and the New Creation Story'.
