A host of talent was on show at the annual Mai Rafferty concert in Castletownroche, as talented young people took to the stage over the course of the concert.

Getting on stage at any age can be a daunting and terrifying experience, but this concert made it all the more evident how important a good teacher is, as those who came on stage were confident, happy and had a great stage presence.

A love for theatre, drama and the stage can be fostered from a young age and the arts can be a great way to get children to come out of themselves, to help them to combat any self-esteem issues and also to make new friends outside their school environment. The night proved a joy for all who went, with wonderful performances from participants - it was clear that some stars were born!
