Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is delighted to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its partnership with the Marie Keating Foundation.
The commercial vehicle brand first announced its backing for the charity in 2014 and has supported the foundation by offering Caddy panel vans to Marie Keating Foundation nurses to help them carry out their vital work.
Not only does the tie-in allow nurses to access people in remote areas, it helps promote the importance of early detection of cancer and support following a diagnosis.
The Marie Keating Foundation is one of Ireland’s leading voices in cancer prevention, awareness and support. The work the Foundation undertakes touches the lives of thousands of people across Ireland.
Kim Kilduff, Head of Sales and Marketing for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland, said: “We are delighted to mark the 10th year of our relationship with the Marie Keating Foundation and are honoured to have our vehicles associated with such a great cause.”
Liz Yeates, CEO of the Marie Keating, said she was “incredibly proud” to celebrate a decade of partnership with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
She added: “Their unwavering support and donation of Volkswagen Caddy vans over the past 10 years has been instrumental in supporting our specialist community nursing service, enabling them to travel to communities all around Ireland, raising awareness about the signs and symptoms of cancer and providing essential support to those affected by cancer.
“We are immensely grateful for Volkswagen’s continued support. Without the Caddy Vans, our nurses would not be able to reach those remote and often underserved communities bringing their all – important message of early detection to thousands of people throughout the country every year. We cannot thank Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland enough for its steadfast commitment and look forward to many more years of partnership together.”
The Marie Keating Foundation was set up by the Keating family following their mother Marie’s death from breast cancer in 1998. Today, it is one of the leading voices in Ireland for cancer prevention, awareness and support.
