Cork County Council is preparing a new Local Area Plan for the Fermoy Municipal District, which includes the towns of Fermoy, Mitchelstown and Charleville and all the villages within the hinterland of these towns.

This new plan will replace the plans adopted in 2011. It is also the council’s intention that the new plan will replace the existing Fermoy Town Development Plan 2009, adopted by the former Fermoy Town Council.

As part of the plan making process, the council is inviting submissions from the public (residents, community groups, businesses, children or groups representing the interests of children, and other interested parties).
