This Friday sees Kilworth Dramatic Society take to the stage with the opening night of ‘Unforgiven’ by Johnny McDwyer at 8pm.

Rehearsals have been going well and the four strong cast are ready to bring this 'mad play about mad people' to life.

The play follows the shenannigans of bachelor brothers PJ and Seamie await the death of their sick father, both for different reasons.

Meanwhile, their neighbour Mary is nursing her ill mother towards her demise under the watchful eye of PJ who has big plans for the aftermath of both deaths.

When the brothers' father dies, another brother Eamonn comes home from America for the funeral. Will his arrival wreck PJ's plans and why did he leave in the first place?

The cast of Patricia Coughlan, Tim Roche, Liam Kenny and Brian Carey bring this poignant, yet with an earthy streak coursing through it of unrequited love, to the stage.

Opening night is this Friday night, February 22 at 8pm with performances also on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th.

The play will aso run on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th at 8pm nightly in Kilworth Community Hall (next to the church).

The group is always open to new members so if interested in acting, backstage, set or production, please contact any member of the club.
