Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy are organising a 5km fun run/walk on Thursday, November 6. This is a community event that invites all staff, students, their families and the wider community, to an event which begins and ends at the school.
The idea for a fun run/walk came from the school's parents' association, who are fully supporting the run and have worked tirelessly to bring it to fruition. The association have paid special thanks to Julie Nolan, who is training teachers and parents on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Transition Year class in the school are helping with the organisation and all proceeds will go to the TY fund.
Registration begins at 6.30pm on the night, with the walk getting under way at 7pm followed by the run at 7.30pm. Entry fee is €5 per student, €7 per adult and €15 for a family. The event has received sponsorship from SuperValu, LAYA Healthcare, Centra, McCarthy's Insurance and Blackwater Motors.
