Trees appear to have been the biggest casualty of the storm which lashed the region on Thursday and Friday last. The county council answered a number of calls in relation to fallen trees.
Otherwise the area escaped major damage with no reports of bridges damaged or flooding to commercial or residential properties.
Some flooding was reported in Glanworth, at Moher Crescent and at Ballykeating. The R512 road at Grange, Fermoy also suffered flooding. The section of the road, at Sheepwalk, which regularly floods after heavy rain, is earmarked for remedial works. It was confirmed this week that funding has been allocated for the work and it will be carried out in May.
Some damage to a road edge and a report of a subsided embankment in Newline, Araglin were reported to the county council.
