DeLaval Robotic Voluntary Milking System.

On Wednesday, September 18th, Tom Harte Farm Services Ltd will celebrate 30 years in business and host a special Open Day showcasing the company’s extensive range of dairy products. As part of the Open Day which will take place from 10am-5pm in the company’s premises in Whites Cross, Co Cork, Tom Harte Farm Services Ltd will launch the new DeLaval Voluntary Milking System (VMS) which for the first time will be available in the Cork area.

Modelled on a human arm’s flexible movement range, the multi purpose robotic arm in the Voluntary Milking System easily accommodates high, wide or low udder irregularities and teats with an inclination of up to 45 degrees thus allowing greater milking of cows by taking advantage of its various attachment strategies. Its exclusive hydraulic powered arm also provides extended reliability and reduces service requirements when compared to pneumatic systems.

Founded by Tom Harte in September 1983, Tom Harte Farm Services Ltd which began with two employees now has fifteen employees and is recognised as one of the most significant independent dealers of dairy equipment in Ireland today.
