In the wake of the election results, well known Mitchelstown man TJ Rea, confirmed to The Avondhu that he will be putting himself forward as a candidate to fill the Fianna Fáil County Council seat being vacated by Kevin O’Keeffe.

Speaking to The Avondhu, TJ said he has been approached by party members and he feels that as a local businessman, a family man with three children and an active member of the party, he would be a worthy candidate.

TJ is the secretary of the local cumann and secretary of the comhairle ceantair. The Rea family have always been staunch Fianna Fáil followers.
