Over the next 12 weeks, viewers will be seeing a familiar face on TG4, as Roy Galvin, who is the director of the cultural centre in the Glen of Aherlow, is a judge on the new talent show 'Scor Encore'. The show airs on Sundays at 8pm, with a repeat show on Tuesdays at 11.30pm.
As well as being the director of the Tigh Roy Ionad Culturtha, Roy also runs the annual festival, Eigse Eatharlai, which focuses on traditional Irish arts.
He is also chairman of the Glen of Aherlow Failte Society, which promotes tourism in the Glen of Aherlow, including two annual hillwalking festivals, and he was also recently elected as the PRO for the Ballylanders charity group, Drive To Survive, who are aiming to raise €1 million for The Irish Hospice Foundation in the space of a year.
