Time to remove eyesore trees in Fermoy?

A discussion on whether or not these trees in Fermoy should be removed and replaced with something more manageable now needs to be had …

Gazing down on Pearse Square and its environs from the bridge in Fermoy, the distant view is somewhat obscured by the presence of many large, overgrown trees blocking the lovely view of Presentation Convent.

Going back to a time when the square was named in honour of the queen and when what is now Hanley’s sold fishing tackle, the view was assuredly more impressive.

A discussion on whether or not these trees which have grown to out-fit their value, should be removed and replaced with something more manageable now needs to be had ...
