The Fureys play The Village Arts Centre, Kilworth, Cork

Have you got your tickets booked for Friday, September 27 for The Furey’s return gig to Kilworth? If not, do so immediately as they are selling fast!
Although The Fureys as a group now only has two of the brothers left (George died three years ago and Finbar left the group to go solo a number of years back), few will dispute that their last concert in Kilworth was probably their best to date! The sense of fun and exuberance they bring to their concerts is infectious, making it an evening that will have you singing along to their many hits.
You can be assured they will sing all their great favourites - ‘When You Were Sweet Sixteen’ which became a hit worldwide, ‘The Green Fields of France’ (an Irish No 1 that remained in the singles charts for twenty eight weeks); ‘Gallipoli’, ‘The Red Rose Cafe’, 'The Old Man', ‘Steal Away’ and many others. In 2008 the band celebrated their 30th anniversary so that gived them 35 years of travelling all over the world as 'The Fureys'.
Remember the date - Friday, 27th September. Tickets from The Avondhu office, Fermoy (025-32227), Cotter’s Bar, Kilworth (025-27109), Hyland’s Bookshop, Mitchelstown (025-24528) or call 087-6492514.
