Dear Editor,

Can I through your newspaper, say congratulations and well done to our relay team of Mariska Smit, Yvonne Seymour, Olga Smyth, Pat Canning and Emily Bolton who completed the Bord Gas Marathon in five and half hours. Also well done to FACE (Fermoy Action Children’s Education) member, Darragh Wiley of Mallow Athletic Club, who completed the full marathon a brilliant time of 3 hours and 39 minutes.

Well done also of course to local businessman Mike Ennis who represented FACE and Grange Athletic Club on completing the half marathon and to all involved. A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who contributed to our fundraiser.

Also we would like to take this opportunity to thank Sylvia Flynn, Valerie McCormac, Laura and Natasha Flynn and all Fittstop members who participated in the marathon on behalf of FACE. We are most grateful and appreciative for your kind generosity and thoughtfulness.

I would also like to thank all the families, friends and general public who contributed towards our fundraiser.
