Gone but not forgotten
On Saturday night, Kildorrery Tidy Towns group held a night of celebration in Walsh's bar to look back on their achievements in the competition.
They would like to thank everyone who supplied sandwiches and their sponsors, Ted Enright, Centra, Noreen Dunne, Seamus Sheahan, Thornhills Chemist, Ollie's Bar, Thatch & Thyme, Hennessy's Garage, Monaghan's Transport, Pa Walsh, Shreelawn Oil, Nora Lane, Denis Barrow, David Myers, Kildorrery Post Office, Conor Maguire, Trish Roche and Dave Dwane of Exact Signs in Farahy.
The group will hold their AGM on Thursday next, September 26 in Oaklawn at 9pm. Last year, there was a community trip to Abbeyshrule, the winner of last year's competition and if there is enough interest, a trip to Moynalty in Meath has been planned for Tuesday, October 2 and those interested can contact the community office.
