A recent in-store raffle organised by the Tesco Mitchelstown team has raised €800 for Aware, Tesco’s Charity of the Year.

The raffle, for two much sought after tickets for ‘Indiependence Festival 2013’ ran in the store in the lead up to the festival which took place in Mitchelstown. Tickets were sold for €2 each or 3 tickets for €5 with all proceeds raised going to Aware.

Speaking about the recent event, Liz Downes, Charity of the Year Champion, Tesco Mitchelstown, commented: “We would like to thank everyone from the local area for their support of our in-store raffle which helped us raise €800 for Aware, our Charity of the Year. I would also like to thank Shane Dunne who kindly donated the tickets for ‘Indiependence Festival 2013’. ”
