Teenagers benefit from ‘safe tractor’ course

12 young people completed a day long ‘safe tractor driving skills’ course held in Corrin Mart last week. Comprising boys and girls, participants covered areas such as: safety checks, driving position, hitching farm machinery and checking the terrain.

Organised by (N.E.W.K.D.) North, East, West Kerry Development, spokesperson, John Dalton, said he was delighted with the response from young people in north Cork and west Waterford.

“We got a tremendous response, participants took it all very seriously and were very eager to learn, it’s vital that good driving habits are formed from an early age,” John told The Avondhu.
