Autumn leaves – beautiful to look at and to crunch underfoot once fallen but after that, when they have become wet and slippery, it’s time to get rid of them.
SLIP DANGER
Lovely Lismore has plenty of trees and one person conscious of the slip danger which any fallen leaves pose is town Cllr Orla Russell. She queried at their monthly meeting last week as to when the street sweeper could come to the town to clear them up. She was told by town manager, Michael Quinn that Waterford County Council’s small sweeper would be allocated to Lismore for the next two weeks to deal with the problem.
