An alleged incident of ‘lamping’ was witness in Kilworth last Wednesday night, as a local motorist observed a car discretely parked alongside a field and the tell-tale bright white lights being flashed by several people around the boundary of a field outside the village, near Molly Barry’s Cross.

The individual who contacted The Avondhu, said they witnessed a similar incident last year in the same location, as well as another incident of late night lamping on the Kilally road exiting the village in 2021.

Contacting the local Gardaí, they were informed that a squad car was already on the way, having been already notified by another member of the public.
