Delia Tobin representing the Thursday Club with the staff of Mitchelstown Credit Union who will be selling tickets in Mitchelstown Credit Union for a special festive fundraiser for the club, first prize for this is the exquisitely decorated dolls house, seen in the picture.

In the run up to Christmas, Mitchelstown Credit Union are urging the public to support the Thursday Club in Tearmonn Ui Chaoimh by supporting their upcoming draw, with some wonderful prizes up for grabs.

A beautifully fitted dolls house is the first prize, with follow up prizes of a €50 food voucher, a €40 voucher for Flowers By Una and a gorgeous iced Christmas cake.

Thanks to the time and dedication of Delia Tobin and her team of volunteers, the Thursday Club provides a range of services for senior citizens in the area and most importantly has a wonderful social element, as people can meet up with others their own age and from the local area.

The club is led by volunteers and is financed through local fundraisers like this and with help from the HSE.

The dolls house which would enhance any Christmas for any young girl or collector can be viewed in Mitchelstown Credit Union in the lead up to the draw, which will take place on December 7 at the annual senior citizen's Christmas party in The Firgrove Hotel. 

Tickets (€2 a ticket or a book for €5) are available at the credit union and everyone at the Thursday Club wishes The Avondhu readers a happy and peaceful Christmas.
