Thankfully, we’re getting a taste of some real summer weather and with so many people in holiday mode, what better time to have a summer festival.
Proprietor of The Abbey Tavern in Castlelyons, Shane Hogan decided to go down this route last weekend – as a result his establishment was a hive of activity as patrons, ate, drank and were very merry.
The festival evening took place last Saturday and under instructions to arrive at the venue hungry, a fine crowd turned up to see what was on menu. They weren’t disappointed as a very substantial pig was produced for consumption.
