People out for a stroll in Fermoy Town Park on Tuesday afternoon were treated to a pleasant surprise when students from Colaiste an Chraoibhin, Fermoy combined with COPE residents for an impromptu dance routine.

The group incorporated rock, up tempo jazz and rap into their routine, which was brilliantly choreographed by Mark Lyndon, Frances Foley and Enda Ormond. The students involved were drawn from Transition Year and first year and everyone got a tremendous buzz from the al fresco dancing experience. Colaiste an Chraobihin have long standing ties with COPE, Fermoy, whose residential and day care centre is located a short distance from the school.

According to project co-ordinator, Ciara Flanagan, the initiative was part of a Fitness and Friendship Programme which was enthusiastically embraced by both parties. Encouraged by the response to last Tuesday's dance show, don't rule out another 'flash mob' appearance by these dashing and daring dancers.
