With International Women’s Day just over 2 weeks away, Network Ireland is urging women to advance their careers by prioritising their wellbeing.
Their national event in Kilkenny next month will feature contributions from female leaders in business, media and psychology to help women plot a course to careers that are both successful and sustainable.
Network Ireland President, Linda Codoul, chose ‘A Step Ahead’ as the theme for her presidency and says her programme for International Women’s Day will help women to progress.
“Whether it’s juggling care demands or dealing with imposter syndrome, women sometimes need a little extra support in their careers. This International Women’s Day we, along with our inspirational speakers, are aiming to offer women a toolkit they can use in their daily lives to make sure that career success doesn’t come at the expense of wellbeing. By building resilience, we hope to help women excel in their chosen walk of life.”
Among the speakers on the day is best-selling author Siobhán Murray and sports psychologist, Dr Ciara Losty, while in the keynote session, Oscar-nominated director Nora Twomey will speak. Áine Ní Chaoildealbhain, MD Virgin Media and Anne Marie Tierney-Le Roux, Senior Vice President Enterprise Technology at IDA Ireland will also participate in discussions.
This year, Kilkenny will host the Network Ireland’s national events for the very first time and the Local Enterprise Office are co-sponsors. Members from Network Ireland’s 17 branches will gather for the conference on Friday, March 8th and non-members are also very welcome. Registration closes on Friday, March 1st – for more details, go to networkireland.ie/events
