We wrote last week of the talents of some of our young entrepreneurs and again this week, we see three more young hopefuls from the North Cork area vying to become ‘the voice of Ireland’ on Sunday night.

One can only have the highest of admiration for all three, and indeed for their fellow competitor from Co Donegal. That three of the four finalists should come from North Cork is proof positive of the immense talent that is within the area. All three will be relying on your votes to see them through and hopefully, set them on the road to stardom.

We must remember that because of Kelly, Sharon and Keith, Fermoy, Castletownroche and Charleville, the national promotion the respective areas will be given on Sunday night’s programme will be a valuable boost in these difficult times.

In Sunday night’s final, all four acts will perform with a special guest of their choice with the top three acts being voted through courtesy of the  public vote only. They will go on to a second performance on the night and, after a second count of public vote only, one act will be crowned The Voice of Ireland to win the ultimate prize – a recording contract with Universal Music. A chance like this can only be dreamed about and while the voting process is commercial, we would urge you to vote and ensure that, come Sunday night, The Avondhu area can be proud to be home to ‘The Voice Of Ireland’!
