The aroma of coffee and cakes coming from Kildorrery community hall on Saturday, March 14th should be enough to entice anybody in the doors, where a fundraising coffee morning will benefit St Joseph’s Foundation, Charleville.

Now running for a fifth year and organised by Orna Cogan and her dedicated committee of helpers, strong support is once again expected for an event which has helped raise in excess of €14,000 for the Foundation. Many people in The Avondhu area will be familiar with the good work provided by St Joseph’s Foundation, who continue to provide an invaluable service to people with disabilities and their families.

Along with the tea/coffee, cakes and other goodies on offer, the event in Kildorrery will also see items of bric-a-brac for sale. Timed to take place from 10.30 until 1pm on Saturday 14th, members of the public should note that donations will be accepted on Friday evening, March 13th, as well as on Saturday morning prior to the event.

Organiser Orna Cogan would like to thank her tireless committee of volunteers, who include Margaret O’Neill, Kevin O’Flynn, Owen and Ellen Aherne, for bringing this event to fruition once again. Committee member Mary Bailey, Corrin, who sadly passed away last November, helped annually with the coffee morning and will be greatly missed.

This worthy event has received great support from the local community and families in previous years. Your support would be greatly appreciated this Saturday, March 14th in Kildorrery!
