Elaine Bothma sent us in this collage of pictures from Ashfield Manor, where they decided to get back into the winter spirit and wear christmassy clothes and have dinner with a group of friends playing games and singing songs. The entire community really came together helping eachother clear footpaths, or just random snow ball fights breaking out – even snowballing the guards on Friday who had a great laugh.

The Beecher children from Castlelyons, built themselves out of snow. The middle snowman has a walking aid, just like 9-year-old Scarlett who has Cerebral Palsy, and has just returned from America following a big operation to help her walk. Scarlett had her surgery on July 12, 2017. She was in a wheelchair before that and is now is learning to walk and partly uses her wheelchair. (Sent in by Susan Beecher)
