The fundraiser for Our Lady's Childrens Hospital in Crumlin held in The Abbey Bar in Galbally on Saturday night saw one brave lady, Margaret Ryan join 12 male counterparts in the event.
Once again, Aisling O'Neill and Margaret McEniry organised the event and they would like to thank all those who helped in any way to make it the success that it was, especially those who took part in the waxing/shaving to raise much needed funds for such a worthy cause.
Special thanks to local beautician, Helena Hickey who did the waxing on the night; local hairdresser, Tracy Henebry for doing the shaving and DJ Seanie Walsh who provided the music on the night.
The list of participants included Margaret Ryan, Diarmuid Henebry, Patrick Reynolds, Liam Cunningham ,Paul Sweeney, James O'Donnell, Michael McEniry, Quinn Perry, Paddy O'Neill, Michael O'Brien, Liam Richardson, James Hickey and Marcus Browne.
Thanking everyone for their participation, Aisling said this is their 4th year doing this fundraiser.
"In the last 3 years we have raised €19,159 for the hospital and we hope year will be just as successful. Each year the money raised goes to a specific unit in the hospital and this year it's going to the Cystic Fibrosis unit. We have also donated to the heart unit and the cancer unit in recent year. It was a great success and we had another massive turnout. You have made the difference for these kids."
