Sinn Féin has been dealt a major blow following the decision by sitting TD Sandra McLellan not to seek re-election.

With eight confirmed riders already in the starting gates ahead of the upcoming general election in the Cork East constituency, Sinn Féin has been dealt a major blow following the decision by sitting TD Sandra McLellan not to seek re-election.

The Youghal-based deputy has been at the centre of ongoing bullying allegations within the party, saying her efforts as a TD were ‘consistently and persistently undermined by a small number in the constituency that called themselves members of Sinn Féin’.
