There have been short tempered exchanges between the Minister for responsibility for defence and a Cork TD over the future of Kilworth’s Lynch Camp.
The difficult interaction happened as questions were asked in the Dail on Wednesday by Sean Sherlock, TD, about the use of the facility.
Deputy Sherlock had raised a question about the barracks being used to isolate military and civilian families as part of Covid-19 measures.
Minister Paul Kehoe snapped at Deputy Sherlock when the Cork East Labour representative raised the spectre of special allowances for those being housed temporarily at the site.
