Despite a suspected scaphoid injury and a two hour delay to race proceedings, Ardpatrick man Oisin O’Callaghan claimed a brilliant second place finish at the recent HSBC British National Downhill Series in the iconic World Cup venue of Fort William.
Oisin went into the race after missing round 1 at Rheola, Wales because of a wrist injury but despite the lay-off, he was close to his brilliant best.
Not knowing whether his wrists would hold up, riding in probably the roughest race venue on the circuit, Oisin also took part in the Martin Whitely and Angel Suarez YT MOB Training camp over three days, adding further tension to the whole trip.
