Sixth class Kilbehenny footballer Sean Clancy will be on cloud nine this Saturday, as he is set to represent Limerick on the field at the Gaelic grounds in Limerick, when he plays with a junior team against Cork at half-time during the Limerick V Cork seniors' match.

Son of Siobhan and Padraig from Coolboy and with two sisters Caoimhe (15) and Aoibheann (9), Sean said that he is ecstatic about having the opportunity to play where some of his idols have played. This is a proud moment for his family, but also the school, as the Principal said that this is the first time that a student at the school has represented their county in football and they are all immensely proud of him.

The 13-year-old has been playing football since he could kick a ball and he said that he will be a little nervous, but he can't wait to play in front of the crowd.

Sean was chosen to represent Limerick after he captained a team in the South Limerick primary schools competition for the Sarsfield Cup.

Sean is a member of the Galtee Gaels club and hopefully his match on Saturday will give him a glimpse into what his future holds, if he keeps playing football. The match starts at 7pm in the Gaelic grounds in Limerick.
