Watergrasshill National School Parents' Association teamed up with members of Watergrasshill Utd to host a very successful fashion show in Corrin Event Centre, Fermoy on Friday night, April 4th.
An undertaking of this scale requires a lot of advance planning and the efforts of organisers were rewarded when a several hundred strong crowd turned up for a night of high fashion, refreshments and live entertainment.
Proceedings got underway with a cheese and wine reception. After drinks and nibbles, it was down to business with kids and teenagers strutting their stuff on the catwalk - ladies and gents fashions followed, along with some modelling from 6th class pupils in Watergrasshill National School.
There was a 20 minute interval which featured a performance by Niamh Barrett's Cork Circus. Formal wear dominated the second half of the show with compère, David Hogan doing an excellent job introducing the models and their various outfits.
Local businesses from Fermoy to Midleton all contributed to a most enjoyable night. Other clubs, who didn't benefit directly, also chipped in, most notably: The Over The Hill Cycling Club, Watergrasshill Athletics Club, Watergrasshill Girl Guides, Watergrasshill Scouts, Glenville GAA and Watergrasshill GAA.
The evening was well planned with the programme of events running to a tight schedule - feedback was very positive and everyone went home happy.
