In launching the programme today, Ryan O’Shaughnessy said: “I’m thrilled to partner with Coca-Cola HBC on its new #YouthEmpowered programme which aims to support young people to get started on their career path. I know how many people struggle to find their first job, get their foot in the door or continue in education so it’s really important that people are given the support they need to get on the right track. I would call on recent school-leavers, job-seekers or any young person looking to reach their goals to join me in registering for the #YouthEmpowered Digital Hub.”

In addition to the new Digital Hub, Coca-Cola HBC is also expanding the number of classroom-based workshops in 2018 in partnership with Fastrack Into IT (FIT) and Youth Action Northern Ireland, with 30 workshop taking place in locations throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.

One recent graduate of the #YouthEmpowered programme, said: “When I finished school, I really struggled to get a foothold on the career ladder. I was inexperienced in applying for jobs and didn’t feel I had the basic understanding of the business world to do myself justice in job interviews. #YouthEmpowered helped me to grow in confidence, and understand the value I could bring to a role. I encourage anyone in a similar situation to make the most of this new free resource, as it may be that stepping stone you need to secure employment.”
