Limerick Local Community Development Company (LCDC) and the two implementing partners Ballyhoura Development Limited and West Limerick Resources, and Limerick City and County Council as financial partners, signed the Rural Development contract for the period 2014-2020 recently with Ms Heather Humphreys, Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht affairs.
Minister Humphreys said the Leader Programme will deliver some €250 million into rural towns and villages right across the country over the next four years.
“By signing the funding agreements with Limerick Local Action Group, we are unlocking €9,276,593,96 in vital funding for rural communities across Limerick,” she said.
As chairman of the LCDC, Cllr Eddie Ryan said he would like to take the opportunity to thank all members of the LCDC for their engagement and assistance in the process.
“I look forward to working with them in the future to deliver the programme for the communities in County Limerick,” he said.
